Jamael Westman, Actor || @jam_itainttoomuch

Jamael Westman trained at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts, graduating in 2016. He has since appeared in Torn at the Royal Court, directed by Richard Twyman and The White Devil at the Globe. In his first major role, Westman, 26, plays the lead role of Alexander Hamilton, one of the Founding Fathers who played a key role in the American colonies’ successful war of independence from Britain in the 18th century, in smash-hit musical Hamilton.

 

James Spencer, Fashion Illustrator || @jamesspencerx

London College of Fashion student James Spencer’s distinctive illustrations simultaneously appear delicate and striking. While predominantly an illustrator, Spencer has also modelled for several of Charles Jeffrey’s collections in recent seasons. His artwork is currently available for purchase via SHOWstudio’s online store.

 

Tomos Parry, Chef || @tomos_pp

This year, Tomos Parry is set to launch Brat, marking the first solo opening from the chef. Following a stint as head chef at Mayfair’s Kitty Fisher’s, Parry, with backing from Smoking Goat’s Ben Chapman and Brian Hannon, is setting up his own venture inspired by the seafood grill restaurants popular in Northern Spain.

 

Seunghee Yoo, Make-Up Artist || @seunghee_mua

Hailing from Seoul, London-based make-up artist Seunghee Yoo studied at London College of Fashion and has since worked with numerous publications, including Vogue Italia, Fucking Young, Metal, Coeval and more, as well as creating distinctive make-up looks for designers including Fashion East’s Charlotte Knowles and WINDOW00.

 

Morgan Quaintance, Curator & Writer || morganquaintance.com

Morgan Quaintance is a London-based writer, curator, musician and broadcaster. Born in South London, he is a regular contributor to Art Monthly, and has written for The Guardian, The Wire, Art Review, Frieze, Rhizome.org, and a number of curatorial sites and blogs. He is a contributing editor for E-Flux’s online publishing portal Art Agenda, is a founding member of the curatorial collective DAM PROJECTS, and was the 2015/16 curatorial fellow at Cubitt Gallery, London.

Terribilis is a young producer born and bred in London, championing intersectionality in the underground music scene. She is 1/3 of the UNITI collective and a resident at Xquisite Nihil. From her home in North London, to clubs and DIY venues throughout Europe, Terribilis merges the worlds of drone and ambient with drum & bass and breakcore to create something dark and mind-melting.

 

Donald Matheson & Jason Whiteley, Architects || mathesonwhiteley.com

MATHESON WHITELEY is a London-based architectural studio established by Donald Matheson and Jason Whiteley in 2012. Their completed projects include contemporary art galleries for Hollybush Gardens and Stuart Shave/Modern Art, offices for the fashion designers Peter Pilotto, and a 20,000 sqm workspace project within Sea Containers, London for the Ogilvy Group of media companies.

 

Paul Maheke, Visual Artist || @paulmaheke

Opening in April at Chisenhale Gallery is the first major solo presentation in a UK institution by London-based artist Paul Maheke. Through a varied and often collaborative body of work comprising performance, installation, sound and video, Maheke considers the potential of the body as an archive in order to examine how memory and identity are formed and constituted.

 

Nik Southern, Florist || @graceandthorn

Nik Southern founded Grace & Thorn in 2011, opening her floral studio onto East London’s busy Kingsland Road. Drawing on the worlds of art and fashion rather than traditional florist designs, Grace & Thorn plays with unique combinations of textures and patterns so no two pieces are ever the same. An asymmetrical style, focus on foliage, fantastic pots and DIY classes has attracted a cult following.

 

Per Götesson, Fashion Designer || @pergotesson

Menswear designer Per Götesson is a graduate of Beckman’s College of Design and the Royal College of Art. Swedish-born and London-based, Götesson’s eponymous label caught the eye of Lulu Kennedy during his studies. The designer takes inspiration from the everyday and mundane, but subverts it to inject romance and poetry into traditional ideas of masculinity.
