Selfridges Unveils The Body Studio
By Something CuratedSelfridges responds to healthy lifestyles trends and the rise of athleisure with ‘The Body Studio’ a new womens’ lifestyle experience space which references Japanese and Californian interior design articulated by Neri&Hu.
The Chinese design studio with a Fitzrovia outpost combines minimalist displays with fresh and modern tones as a backdrop for activewear, hosiery, sleepwear and beachwear. The vast floorspace has been divided into sections, each reflecting the tones and colour palates of brand or the type of clothing displayed.
In addition to a curated selection of clothing, the new area includes a healthy eatery operated by London’s own Hemsley and Hemsley of courgetti fame (Hemsley + Hemsley Café) and a fitness studio. The Body Studio provides women with an opportunity to celebrate healthy lifestyle choices with flair.
The body image hub offers more than 130 brands including activewear brands such as The Upside, Varley, Ultracor but also Sweaty Betty, Adidas by Stella McCartney and the recently launched Ivy Park. The lingerie and sleepwear space carries Agent Provocateur and La Perla interweaved with exclusives including Three Graces nightwear; For Love and Lemons; Fleur du Mal, and Adina Reay.
