Allens of Mayfair

The butchery was first established in 1887 by Edgar Green, who won a fierce battle with Grosvenor State and was allowed to hang his game outside the store window. Although he died soon after opening the shop, the tradition has been carried over and the character of the shop has been kept through out. Some of the store interiors like the table and tiles on the wall, have not been changed since and are now over 120 years old.
