Global Renegade: Neuehouse London
This company has had working-space-seekers (and architects for that matter) in a feverish frenzy since it debuted its East 25th Street location. Everyone wants a piece of the Neuehouse action. And it’s easy to see why: sandwiched between Park Avenue South and Lexington Avenue, Neuehouse sits in the Madison Square neighbourhood—an area that’s been teaming with start-up action for a few years now. Neuehouse aims to be the “an idea and a movement that transcends walls, location and geography.” Quite the tagline. Co-creator Joshua Abram has created a by-invitation-only “global home for solopreneurs” turning the traditional workspace on its head and making membership to this coworking club very, very competitive. Covent Garden’s historic Art Deco Adelphi building in early 2016 and will be designed by David Rockwell—W Hotel, Bar Americain, Gordon Ramsay’s Maze Grill in London—yeah, that David Rockwell.

New Kid On The Block: Soho Works
Nick Jones is the mastermind of the members-only club. From affluent farmhouse escapes to his VIP lounges in New York, Berlin, Chicago, Toronto and of course new Greek Street location in London. Jones isn’t resting on his success (on the contrary, he’s pretty much owning every aspect of it) and the expansion of Soho House continues with Soho Works in London, Istanbul and Los Angeles: a new 24/7 coworking space complete with “Sitting Room,” “Shared Desk,” “Study,” “Night Owl,” “Day Lark” packages. So far the Shoreditch location is boasting a nice floorplan and spelled-out options to tick through. Meaning that coworking clients of all kinds can get what they need when they need it—plus breakfast and lunch. This guy thinks of everything.

Beautifully Designed: Second Home
For those looking for a coworking space that is a jaw-droppingly nice as it is efficient, Second Home is a great one. It’s a hub “where entrepreneurs and creative businesses come together, in the pursuit of great work.” It’s also got the kind of genius design that’s only created when you spend £3-million gutting an old carpet factory off Brick Lane. People who love this space can thank Rohan Silva, the 30-something behind the concept. All open glass and curvy furniture, Second Home mixes work and play with 24,000 square feet of gorgeous. The membership process is formal and the DIY application process nail biting (questions like ‘What is your entrepreneurial and creative mission?’ and ‘Who is your entrepreneurial hero?’ could make some take pause) but once you’ve passed with flying colours and are welcomed into this cache of creatives, the networking and opportunities for cross-promotion and new business is phenomenal and worth the queries. It has it’s own greenhouse and bar and you might not want to (or need to) ever leave. And if you feel like you haven’t done enough socializing already, it’s also near the Old Truman Brewery so an after-meeting snack or cocktail there isn’t an uncommon occurrence, especially after a stressful deadline.

The Entrepreneur Haven: Bathtub 2 Boardroom
With an “entrepreneurs are the future” mentality, Bathtub 2 Boardroom is a leader in spaces that cultivate that I-can-create-anything start-up culture: places where people from all walks of life can build on new ideas. The community-based space offers pro bono legal advice and even subsidized space for people who were recently made redundant or those who are simply just finding their feet while they try to create a new big idea. The co-working space has frequent talks introducing members to notable people starting up their own businesses and making room for people find ways to connect with other like-minded corporate dreamers.

Office With A View: Netil 360
Scientists have proven that people work better once they get a little fresh air, vitamin D and time outside of the work cube. Enter Netil 360 who has turned this concept into an literal outdoor patio space where people can plop their computers down and work with the sky as their career ceiling. And it can get fun too: Redemption, one of the first mocktail bars in London (yes, alcohol-free) popped-up on this patio and it continues to be a place where people can go from office to apres-five without moving from their spot.
