DUST, the biannual magazine founded in 2010, is based between London and Berlin. The intent of the project is to explore youth culture, in the context of a present time marked by a continuous state of crisis, observing the collapse of stabilities taking place globally as an irreversible shift that’s pushing young people to change.

In an on-going project called ‘Wearable Pages’, photographs from the feature story of issues of DUST magazine are being made into pieces of clothing. Hoodies, t-shirts, and modified jeans from this capsule collection feature the work of Belgian artist and designer Peter de Potter, famous for collaborations with Raf Simons, as well as creating the artwork for Kanye’s latest album, ‘The Life of Pablo’. As well as being known for his photography, de Potter works on exclusively web-based art with source materials appropriated from strangers’ social networking sites.

His series, ‘Young King New Castle’, published in the current issue of DUST, is reinterpreted in monochrome onto apparel, as well as being immortalised with a release of a hardcover book, comprising of thirty portraits. It celebrates male youth, both in strengths and vulnerabilities, reflecting the experience of the young urban man with a frankness conveyed through its candid aesthetic.

The capsule collection is currently stocked at Machine-A, London.
