Maison Mais Non, the recently launched Soho gallery founded by Micheál Neeson, announced details of an exhibition envisioned last year by the late Zaha Hadid, in collaboration with the gallery, and Design Research Lab founder Patrik Schumacher. The Extraordinary Process will open at Maison Mais Non on Greek Street on 15 September, coinciding with London Fashion Week.

A varied selection of fashion designers are displaying work in the show, including fashion and tech innovator Iris Van Herpen, London based designers Nasir Mazhar, Krystyna Kozhoma, Phoebe English, celebrated milliner Stephen Jones, and the design duo XO, who created Volantis, the flying dress. The exhibition explores how technology might impact the world in the future, with Hadid’s design studio facilitating a collaborative design process.

Envisioned through conversation between Hans Ulrich Obrist and exhibition curator Lou Stoppard, the project aims to “offer young artists and designers a place for experimentation,” encouraging audiences to engage with fashion in a different way.
