Five Unique Artist Residencies with Application Deadlines in November

Constellations ° Residency – UK
UP Projects and the Royal Parks offer a six-month residency at Greenwich Park for an artist to develop a socially engaged practice through community collaboration. The selected artist will receive £22,000 and studio space at St Mary’s Lodge, working to explore the social and cultural value of urban green spaces. The residency forms part of UP Projects’ Constellations learning programme and the Greenwich Park Revealed legacy.
Funding: £22,000 artist fee and £5,000 output budget.

TIDAL ArtS Residency – Portugal, Italy, Finland and Hungary
TIDAL ArtS invites artists to apply for one of four residencies exploring the future of oceans and waters through collaboration between art and science. Each residency offers a €50,000 grant, access to research institutions, and engagement with coastal and inland communities. Supported by Horizon Europe’s Mission Ocean project, the programme connects artists, scientists, and the public to address water sustainability and climate challenges. Suitable for artists across visual, performance, sound, installation, or interdisciplinary practices.
Funding: €50,000 grant per residency.

Clay City Residencies – Ireland
Clay City is a collaborative residency by Throwing Shapes and Staycity supporting ceramic artists through a 12-month graduate residency and three-month professional residencies. Selected artists receive studio space and accommodation in central Dublin, along with mentorship and access to a dynamic ceramics community. Designed to remove financial barriers, the programme fosters artistic development and public engagement while strengthening Dublin’s position as a ceramics hub.
Funding: Partially funded; includes studio and accommodation.

Dar Kawa Artists in Residence – Morocco
Dar Kawa offers a self-directed artist residency in a restored 17th-century riad in the heart of Marrakech’s medina. One artist at a time is hosted for up to 10 days in a private room with breakfast provided. The programme encourages meaningful engagement with Moroccan culture and supports creative research across disciplines, from visual art and writing to design, architecture, and gastronomy.
Funding: Accommodation and food provided.

Way Beyond – Finland
Way Beyond is a one-month interdisciplinary residency exploring consciousness, perception, and the unknown. Held at the Arteles Creative Centre in rural Finland, the programme welcomes artists, scientists, writers, philosophers, and thinkers seeking time and space for deep reflection. Residents enjoy private rooms, shared studios, meditation sessions, sauna access, and a peaceful natural environment. The structure is open and self-directed, with no requirement for final outcomes.
Funding: Self-funded.
